Now & Then: Classic Roller Skates

Two weekends ago, I went through my older blog posts on my other blog at Blogger.  I had this idea that I could transfer, re-post, and update some of my older posts onto this blog.  It would be interesting to compare the notes and screenshots of “Classic Roller Skates” from then to now.

Then (April 2008):

I made an Etsy Treasury List “Classic Roller Skates” today.  I have been feeling nostalgic to go roller-skating for some time now.  It would be nice if I still had my roller skates because it’s beautiful outside to go roller-skating.  Where can I find a new pair of roller skates?

From seeing all these Etsy finds I have discovered, I am in the mood to watch a classic 1980s movie “Xanadu” with Olivia Newton-John.  I wondered if there are other movies that are based on roller-skating?  Do you know any other skating movies that I had forgotten about?

Take a look at the newer-version of “Classic Roller Skates” below to compare the screenshots.  You may notice that their current layout design has increased its own width.

Three years ago, I created an Etsy treasury list “Classic Roller Skates” so I thought I would re-create it just for fun!  You can check out this newer-version of “Classic Roller Skates” treasury list I made over a week ago.

Even though “Whip It” wasn’t released until a year after I wrote my first “Classic Roller Skates” post in 2008. The movie “Whip It” with Drew Barrymore and Juliette Lewis ought to be added to the movie list for roller-skaters as well.
